I was originally hired as the freelance EU League operations Manager at the start of 2023, for the R6 Major Qualifiers.
Really quickly, I realised that I was in a position where my experience would allow me to at least help and if possible take over the responsibilities across all regions for the manager in charge at Challengermode, whom was already very busy on other projects.
In June 2023, I transitioned, with the blessing of the Activation Manager, to the position of Program Manager for their R6 projects, including all of the regional League/Major Qualifiers and the Weekly Community Cups, both across 9 worldwide regions divided in 11 sub-regions.
The role is very diverse and requires as much people skill (as I need to deal with all staffing but I also need to coordinate with regional partners, some BLAST relations and players - as the last line of admin "support" if an issue goes beyond the Regional Head Admin/League Ops' scope) as organisation skills (a lot of sheets to facilitate team work and make processes as clear as possible for staff, community casters/obs but also for the client) but also a sense of art direction to deal with the platform website, mathematics aptitude for anything cash distribution related as well as an intimate knowledge of the game (Rainbow Six Siege) and the platform itself.
This has been the most fulfilling project for me so far, as there's always a new challenge at the corner of the street and Challengermode management trusts me with always increasing responsibilities, probably due to the fact that this game in particular is close to my heart and I can probably say safely that I'm one of the most experienced Admin/League Ops on this scene currently.
